INOVATIVE RESEARCH
SPRIHA is involved in research related works pertaining to the aspects that affect children socially and psychologically. The research methodology is pertinent to understand the psyche of children brought up in a provided set of circumstances, to identify, categorize and further hone the individualistic human compassion and empower the process of development of empathy and sensitivity in them.
The common methodologies adopted for this process include-
- Individual in-depth analysis – identifying the issues troubling each child and categorizing them based on the commonality of concern and thereafter the probable means immediately available for recourse and finally preparing for a journey to the devised means for enriching the value quotient.
- Focused group discussion (FGD) – FGD helps in further locating the individual inhibitions, primary concerns and managing tactics of life. This helps in finding whether the management techniques employed so far by the individual child or as suggested by near and dear ones are effective and delivering the desired and targeted results. FGD therefore helps in clearly outlining the traits of each child without impartiality and confusion.
- Perceptual mapping – Mapping of perceptions with respect to certain acts, situation, person and objects are identified. Once the individual traits of the child are identified, categorization is done; his profile is created for all future address. Constant update system is followed to keep a track as to how the child responds to the devised methodologies. The finality of the purpose is to create better individual out of all kids and for this their unhindered growth is the utmost requirement. SPRIHA provides an opportunity for creating this augmentation.
In order to have the desired goals meet, all dichotomies and diversities are respected in SPRIHA, be it rural-urban, rich-poor, big city-small city and of course gender too. This divide is for our understanding and study; SPRIHA creates one culture – culture of empathy in “Children” who grow responsible, effective and eloquent in their words and deeds.
